After the death of the last Earl in 1972 the estate passed to Liverpool City Council, which now manages the remainder of the estate which has been opened to the public. This is the second part of the Most Haunted team's investigation of Croxteth Hall in Liverpool, but will the episode match the excitement of the first part, the Halloween special?

The investigation of Croxteth Hall started with a twohour long special shot at the manor house, which is said to be haunted by numerous ghosts which have been REVIEW: Most Haunted Halloween Special 2017 (Liverpool's Croxteth Hall) It is the time of the year when Most Haunted pulls out all the stops to give us their Halloween Special, in the old days this would be a live show with an audience and Derek Acorah going mental, these days it's a prerecorded 2 hour special.

Building started on Croxteth Hall in 1575, to serve as home to the Molyneux family, the Earls of Sefton. The house remained in the Molyneux family right up until 1972, when the 7th and last Earl passed away, passing the estate onto Liverpool City Council.

The Most Haunted team are no strangers to Croxteth Hall, they first visited in 2004. The manor house is said to be haunted by numerous ghosts which have been sighted by visitors to the property and even caught on CCTV.
